Is Rural Billing a cloud-based application requiring monthly use payments?
No. The Rural Billing program and billing data reside on your equipment and there are no monthly use payments.

Can the customer data, rates and balances be transferred from my current system?
Probably. As part of the purchase, we attempt to transfer customer data from your current system. In most cases, we’re successful.

Will my customers be able to view and pay their bill online?
Yes. In fact, it is included as part of the purchase. (application required)

Does Rural Billing support a network environment?
Yes. Additional network licenses may be added as needed.

Is automatic meter reading (AMR) or handheld readers possible?
Interfaces for Master Meter, Sensus, Badger, Neptune, Mueller and others are included.

What operating system does Rural Billing support?
Microsoft Windows Windows 10 and 11

What types of billing does Rural Billing handle?
Metered services include – Water, Gas, Electric and Sewer. Flat rate items are also supported.

How many customers can Rural Billing accommodate?
Rural Billing was specifically designed to address problems for the small-to-medium utility company. Although our application can accommodate more, our current recommendations are companies less than 5,000 customers.

What’s included in the annual support agreement?
The annual support agreement includes application updates, remote technical support and minor data corrections, if needed, for a period of one year. The first year is included with the purchase.
